I love the caterpillar analogy! How true for us as we are "transformed" into the likeness of Christ. There's some dying that has to take place. I'm sure the caterpillar feels it, so do we, but the pain is replaced by the Glory!!

May God's Word transform all our thinking!

I haven't memorized in quite some time. My 8 year old is into memorizing though, so if she can do it I can too! I am choosing 2Tim. I already forgot, I guess I better write it down. 2 tim. 2:15 do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

I'm putting Colossians 3:16 on an index card now! I think I'll do three cards - one for my Bible, one for my purse, and one for above my kitchen sink.

I am super excited for this series! God will change all our lives who participate in memorizing His Word! Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Be ready for God to change your life when you memorize His word!

I'll choose the passage from Psalm 119:11, since I like to memorize verses musically. I have a kids CD with that passage set to music.

I'm choosing Colossians 3:16 - it will keep my heart focused on being joyful, and what better or more effective way is there to do that than to keep His Word foremost in my mind?! Then He promises His peace will guard my heart and mind (Philippians 4:6-9). Thanks for motivating us, Jennifer!
